SEJARAH DAN FUNGSI

Sekilas Sejarah Pemerintahan

  1. Malang merupakan sebuah Kerajaan yang berpusat di wilayah Dinoyo, dengan rajanya Gajayana.

  2. Tahun 1767 Kompeni memasuki Kota

  3. Tahun 1821 kedudukan Pemerintah Belanda di pusatkan di sekitar kali Brantas

  4. Tahun 1824 Malang mempunyai Asisten Residen

  5. Tahun 1882 rumah-rumah di bagian barat Kota di dirikan dan Kota didirikan alun-alun di bangun.

  6. 1 April 1914 Malang di tetapkan sebagai Kotapraja

  7. 8 Maret 1942 Malang diduduki Jepang

  8. 21 September 1945 Malang masuk Wilayah Republik Indonesia

  9. 22 Juli 1947 Malang diduduki Belanda

  10. 2 Maret 1947 Pemerintah Republik Indonesia kembali memasuki Kota Malang.

  11. 1 Januari 2001, menjadi Pemerintah Kota Malang

  • Kota Malang sebagai pusat pelayanan SWP Malang Raya. 

  •  Kota Malang merupakan sentra akomodasi di wilayah Malang Raya. 

  •  Kota Malang merupakan pusat pelayanan regional di wilayah Malang Raya. 

  •  Kebijakan penetapan Kota Malang sebagai kota pendidikan bertaraf internasional serta sebagai kota pariwisata. 

  •  Secara spasial berada pada kawasan strategis antara potensi pariwisata dan agrobisnis Kabupaten Malang dan potensi wisata akomodasi Kota Batu. 

 

Kota Malang sebagai kota pendidikan yang berkualitas dengan peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang didukung sektor penunjang pariwisata sertasektor industri, perdagangan dan jasa

 

Pembagian Kota ke dalam 6 BWK (Bagian Wilayah Kota)

  1. BWK Malang Tengah, meliputi wilayah Kecamatan Klojen. Fungsi utama yaitu pemerintahan, perkantoran, perdagangan dan jasa, sarana olahraga, pendidikan dan peribadatan.

  2. BWK Malang Utara, meliputi wilayah Kecamatan Lowokwaru. Fungsi utama yaitu pendidikan, perdagangan dan jasa, industri  besar/menengah dan kecil serta wisata budaya.

  3. BWK Malang Timur Laut, meliputi sebagian wilayah Kecamatan Blimbing. Fungsi utama yaitu terminal, industri, perdagangan dan jasa, pendidikan dan sarana olah raga.

  4. BWK Malang Timur, meliputi wilayah sebagian Kecamatan Kedungkandang. Fungsi utama yaitu perkantoran, terminal, industri dan sarana olahraga.

  5. BWK Malang Tenggara, meliputi wilayah sebagian Kecamatan Sukun dan sebagian Kecamatan Kedungkandang. Fungsi utama yaitu perdagangan dan jasa, Sport Centre (GOR Ken Arok), Gedung Convention Center, industri, dan perumahan.

  6. BWK Malang Barat, meliputi wilayah sebagian Kecamatan Sukun. Fungsi utama yaitu perdagangan dan jasa dan pendidikan.
